If you’re out there today, and you’re reading this, or even if you’re reading it later, I want you know that I’m thinking about you. I know first hand how difficult you have it. No, I don’t know your particular situation, but I know that life is relentless for us as we just try to keep on keepin’ on.
There’s the kids to raise and mind and the house to clean and the snacks to drop off and getting ready for the charity event next Tuesday and just when I was getting ready to put new tires on the van the furnace went out and boss to deal with because the bills need paid and the sister’s daughter who’s experiencing complications in the same hospital as the aunt and fell and broke her hip on the way to your kid’s tiddly-wink tournament because someone is out of town on buiness.
Whatever it is, it doesn’t stop. It doesn’t stop for us, that is, as we are the ones who show up early and keep the lights on.
Lemme tell you who it does let up on, though; it lets up on the people who don’t give a damn. (Please, can that be the end of the vulgarity?)
So, today, I’m thinking about you; I’m down with your struggle; I’m praying and sending warm thoughts your way. It is difficultĀ and we do have to strive and struggle, but when it gets really rough, just remember it is so because you give a damn, and that has to count for something. So, celebrate you giveadamnness, and know that all the goingson in your life are in some way carried to their ends because you showed up.
That one’s for you, baby; carry it well.
(Just takes a second to share it.)
