The Philosophical Verses (Vol 1) coming to Amazon

Beautiful people,

If I get all the work done I need to get done today, and if Paul Z and I manage the Amazon protocol well this evening, The Philosophical Verses (Vol 1) should be available on Amazon on Friday. If not, it’ll be next Friday, the 11th, but I think we’ll accomplish what we need to meet the scheduled date. The book will be available for digital download or print on demand. I’m thinking the price is going to be $10 for download and $11 for print, but that isn’t set.

The book contains 45-50 poems from the past 25 or so years. It’s a Volume 1 because this is less than half of the work I came up with in my recent searches of the files. Still, these are my favorite of the lot.

I wondered about that; seeing there would be enough work for at least two volumes, I considered saving some of the top stuff for the second book, to kind of even them out some. In the end, I had to think to just put the best out there now and be prepared to preface the second one with something like “I hate to disappoint you, but this book isn’t going to be as good as the last one.”

Still, I’m afraid that’s going to be the case.

That said, this first collection is only comprised of pieces that I feel had to go in there. If I read it and considered it, and then I decided the book could be complete without it, I cut it. These are all greatest hits for me. I love every one of these poems and slams deeply, and I hope you will too.

I’d appreciate any sharing or other ways you can help me get the word out there.

I’ll keep you updated, but right now there really is a full day of work waiting for me. I shouldn’t tarry.

Much love and many thanks always, my friends. I’ll see you back here sometime soon.

Paul
